Updated information for Covid-19 Vaccines 1/14/21

We are getting vaccine for 65+ years of age, First Responders and Education (K-12).  Appointments will be available online from our website: www.richlandcountyhealthoffice.org, beginning Monday, January 18 at 10 a.m.  Please do not call the office as we are unable to schedule appointments.
Vaccination clinics will be held Wednesday and Thursday, January 20-21 from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. and 1 p.m.-3 p.m.; and Saturday, January 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Frequently asked questions….COVID-19 Vaccine
1.  Where will you be giving the vaccine?
Vaccines for Wednesday and Thursday will be administered in the gymnasium at Olney Central College.  Saturday vaccines will be at our office located at 501 S. Whittle Ave., Olney.
2.  Will I need an appointment?
Yes, appointments are required in advance.  Walk-ins are not available.  When you complete your online appointment for the first vaccine dose, your second dose will automatically be scheduled for exactly 4 weeks following your first dose.
3.  How do I schedule the appointment?
Beginning Monday, January 18 at 10 a.m., follow the registration link on our website to access the scheduling system.  Upon completion of registration, you will need to print your appointment ticket.  Tickets are required to enter the vaccination clinic.
4.  What if I don’t have internet or a printer?
Find a friend, family member or neighbor that can help you.  Also, the Olney Public Library will be open daily from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. beginning Monday, January 18 to assist with Internet access and printing.
5.  Why is a ticket necessary?
The ticket ensures accurate vaccine dose distribution for our county.
6.  Is there one or two doses?
The Moderna vaccine requires two doses, scheduled 28 days apart.
7.  How do I know if I should get the Covid Vaccine?
Please contact your primary care provider, he/she knows your medical history and can help you make the best decision.
8.  How much does the vaccine cost?
There is no charge for the vaccine itself.  We will charge an administration fee so please bring your insurance information to your scheduled appointment.  Whatever your insurance pays will be accepted as full payment, you will receive no other charges.  If you have no insurance, you will still be able to get a vaccine with scheduled appointment.
9.  Can I get vaccine from you if I live outside Richland County?
No.  You must be a resident of Richland County to receive vaccine at Richland County clinics.
10.  May my spouse and I register together for the same appointment time?
No, all appointments must be scheduled individually.  Each patient must have his/her own completed registration ticket in order to receive a vaccination.
